1847, 5¢ red brown (1), huge margins including good bit of adjacent stamp at top, bright and fresh with rich color, original gum, light vertical gum crease at left; Very Fine to Extremely Fine. SMQ $8,800 for a normal 85.

A STRIKING MINT 5¢ 1847 JUMBO.

Expertization: 2007 PSE Certificate graded VF-XF 85J.

This stamp should grade at least a 95J but was no doubt reduced in grade due to the gum crease.
